Crown Iron Works, a US-based global supplier of oilseed and biodiesel technologies, on 6 June appointed Mike Hoerle as its new vice president of global engineering.
Hoerle joined Crown Iron from Cargill with 32 years of food industry experience and a strong background in Cargill’s oilseeds processing and vegetable oils refining business.
“Hoerle’s background is an excellent fit into a very important global role, which is a cornerstone to our growth strategy,” said Bill Antilla, Crown Companies business unit leader.
He would focus on enabling the growth of Crown Iron’s global business with key responsibilities that encompassed engineering, design, drafting, R&D, pilot plant operations, technology, quality assurance and control, and safety, the company said in a statement.
Hoerle has previously held the positions of general superintendent of Cargill’s UK oils facilities; facility superintendent at the Sidney, Ohio, plant; and various facility and leadership roles in the US, Germany and the UK.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Missouri University of Science & Technology.
