Air bp – bp’s aviation division – has signed a multi-year contract to supply European aircraft manufacturer Airbus with conventional aviation fuel, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and other services in Spain and Germany.

The agreement would be one of the largest voluntary purchases of SAF by an original equipment manufacturer (OEM), bp said on 12 February.

Air bp said it would supply its services to a wide range of Airbus operations, including its commercial aviation, military and helicopter divisions.

The contract covers key activities such as flight tests, deliveries to customers or internal transport using the Beluga fleet, as well as the employee shuttle service that operates daily between Toulouse and Hamburg.

“This agreement underlines the close collaboration we have with Airbus, as well as our ability to offer complex solutions in several countries,” said Olvido Moraleda, President of bp Energía Spain.

The agreement also included a dedicated account management team, regular technical maintenance in Germany and a new collaboration with Airbus Spain for fuel supply and storage, as well as direct runway fuelling operations.

A leading global supplier of aviation fuel products and services, Air bp operates in more than 600 locations in 40 countries and serves more than 6,800 flights/day.

Its customers include commercial airlines, militaries, companies and private aircraft owners, as well as airports and airfield operators.
