Austrian plant manufacturer BDI-BioEnergy International (BDI) has signed a contract with Ghent Renewables BV to construct a biofuel feedstock refinery plant in Belgium.
“This plant will … support our commitment to a sustainable energy future,” BDI-BioEnergy International managing directors Manfred Baumgartner and David Niederl said.
Work on the construction of the plant had started and it was expected to be operational at the end of this year, BDI said on 3 April.
Once operational, the facility would process waste materials into feedstock for alternative fuels, the company said.
BDI-BioEnergy International is a specialist in biodiesel technology development and plant construction.
