The European Commission (EC) will review Verbio Diesel Canada’s exports of biodiesel into the bloc for nine months to determine whether they should be exempt from anti-dumping duties.
Customs authorities would register imports from Verbio Diesel Canada Corporation for a period of nine months, effective 17 December, according to the publication of implementing regulation 2020/2098 on 30 December.
“At the end of the investigation, if the company meet the conditions for exemption, the countervailing duty of €237/tonne will be repealed,” the EC said. “If the company does not meet the exemption conditions, the anti-dumping duty will be collected retrospectively.”
