British private equity investor Endless LLP (Endless) has announced it has acquired leading UK edible oil supplier KTC (Edibles) Limited (KTC).

Headquartered in Wednesbury, KTC is one of the UK’s largest suppliers of edible oil, supplying over 250M litres/year to manufacturers, retailers and wholesalers across the UK and globally.

In addition to cooking oils and fats, KTC also produces coconut products, ghee, margarines and spreads, non-edible oils, pasta and rice, pulses, and spices and seasonings, according to its website.

The acquisition of KTC would help the company further its growth plans, Endless said in the 31 May statement, adding to its existing portfolio of British food businesses, which includes Hovis, Bright Blue Foods and Yorkshire Premier Meat.

“Through its strong relationships with suppliers and customers, KTC has demonstrated its importance to the UK food industry at a time of increasing volatility across the global food market,” Aidan Robson, partner at Endless, said.
