Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Bhd announced on 4 May that it had cancelled the Palm and Lauric Oils Price Outlook Conference & Exhibition (POC) 2020, scheduled to take place on 22-24 June, due to uncertainties surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event in Kuala Lumpur is one of the major industry shows in the oils and fats calendar.
BMD chairman Datuk Muhamad Umar Swift said the decision was made in consideration of the health and safety of attendees.
"It is with sincere regret that we have to cancel this year’s POC. We have been closely monitoring the situation and assessed that this is the best way to proceed, given the uncertainties of the global pandemic.”
