Portuguese chemical production, distribution, logistics and transportation operator RNM and bp Portugal have opened an advanced logistics terminal in the Port of Aveiro.

Located in the centre-north region of Portugal and built by RNM, the terminal expanded RNM’s infrastructure capacity by 57,000m³. Through a service agreement between the companies, the terminal would allow bp to receive and distribute fuels, including biofuels, bp Portugal said on 21 March.

“This partnership … allows us to share resources and know-how and, above all, it allows bp to have a … more efficient and integrated operation. All this will be done from this terminal, which … is prepared for current fuels as well as advanced biofuels,” said Silvia Barata, chairwoman of the bp Portugal’s board of directors.

The RNM Group provides logistics solutions for storage and road, rail and maritime transport.
